Beach Volleyball Regulations
a. The Beach-Volleyball (B.V.) Committee of the 13th European Maccabi Games will be responsible for the B.V. competitions of the 13th European Maccabi Games.
b. The competition will be conducted according to the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (B.V. Committee), the English text will be binding.
c. Participation in the competition is open to any athlete who is in possession of a Participant Card issued by the Organizing Committee of the 13th European Maccabi Games and registered the Beach-Volleyball competitions.
d. Each country may enter three pairs for female competitions and three pairs for male competitions.
e. Each game team may consist of two players only, approved by the Volleyball Committee.
2. Venues and times
a. The B.V. Committee of the 13th European Maccabi Games will determine venues and times of the B.V. competitions and the teams will be notified accordingly.
b. The B.V. Committee is authorized to change the venues and times of the competitions. These decisions will be final.
3. Game ball
a. The games will be played with approved Beach-Volleyball Mikasa VLS300
b. The B.V. Committee is authorized to change the brand name of balls, if necessary, and these decisions will be final.
4. Duration of game
a. In Rally Point Scoring (RPS) sets one and two are played to 21 points, with a 2-point advantage needed. There is no cap. The third set, if needed, would be played to 15 points with a 2-point advantage, with no cap needed.
b. A team that is declared in default will lose the match with a set score of 0-21, 0-21 and a 0-2 match result.
c. In RPS a point is gained from each rally or from a penalty (misconduct or delay).
d. A team that is declared incomplete will retain any points gained or sets won with the opposing team being awarded the points needed to win the set and the match (Rule 7.4.3). System of competition up to 7 teams
e. The competitions will be played on a league basis of a double round robin.
f. The winner of each game will be awarded two points, the loser no point.
g. In the event of two or more teams having the same number of league points and the same games points’ quotient, classification will be made according to the number of wins. The team with the higher number of wins will be placed in the better place.
h. In the event of two or more teams having the same number of league points and the same number of wins, classification will be determined according to the set points’ quotient (credit amount of sets won divided by amount of sets lost).
i. If equality still exists, classification will be determined according to the games points’ quotient (credit amount of points scored divided by debit amount of points scored).
j. If equality still exists between teams qualification will be made by the same system described in paragraphs c, d, and e above taking into consideration only the games between the teams that are still in a state of equality.
k. If equality still persists, placing will be decided by a draw.
l. The first two teams in the league will compete for the title: “13th European Maccabi Games Champion.”
m. The teams in places 3 and 4 in the league will compete for the third place.
a. The Beach Volleyball Committee will select a Referees’ Committee, which in turn will appoint referees for all the games.

a. These regulations are but one part of the complete 13th European Maccabi Games regulations, and must be read along with the instructions found in “Basic Regulations and Disciplinary Procedures”.
b. In the event of a discrepancy between the regulations written here and those appearing in the “Basic Regulations”, the regulations written here will apply and be binding.
